A premier tertiary-care medical institution of the Armed Forces, Command Hospital (Western Command) provides comprehensive and responsive healthcare services to serving personnel, veterans, and their dependents, upholding the Army’s ethos of selfless service. Under the leadership of Lt Gen Manoj Kumar Katiyar, GOC-in-C, Western Command, the hospital has witnessed significant capability enhancement with a sharp focus on advanced patient care.
Notable achievements include the successful operationalisation of a bone marrow transplant programme, the establishment of a state-of-the-art haematology ward, recognition as a Best Emerging National Organ Transplant and Retrieval Centre by the Union Ministry of Health in August 2024, and accreditation as a kidney transplant centre. Infrastructure upgrades have further strengthened its capabilities, with the addition of a modern modular operation theatre and ICU complex, a 20-bed oncology daycare centre for chemotherapy, and enhanced patient amenities, including an air-conditioned multi-brand food court developed in collaboration with Sanjivani Park.
